Recent Reads

The Wish List - Gabi Stevens.  Really cute and funny.  I enjoyed the look at fairy godmothers and magic mixed with the everyday non magical groundlings.  I am looking forward to the next one coming out next year.  I have a feeling either  the tapestry or Merlin's staff will figure into it.

The Sign - Raymond Khoury.  For those who think Americans just follow blindly what the media puts out there this is a scary book.  Ultimately it makes you think what if regardless of which side or religion you may fall upon.  I especially found thought provoking the quotes from Jefferson and Madison in the author note section that neither one would be elected today.

Magic on the Storm - Devon Monk.  This book is in the middle and I am not sure I had read of all the ones before it but you can catch up within the story.  Clearly another one comes next and I am looking forward to seeing it soon.

Water Bound - Christine Feehan. Another great start to what I believe will be six books dealing with the Prakenskii brothers and the ladies who bring them to Sea Haven.  I love the mentions and appearances of the characters from the Drake Sisters (some of my favorite books!).  Excellent read!

The Perfect Someone - Johanna Lindsey.  A good historical romance.

The Lost Empire - Clive Cussler and Grant Blackwood.  Enjoyable adventure book with believable premise.  Quick read.

Born to bite / by Lynsay Sands.   Another fun Argeneau family vampire story.  Keep them coming.

Dangerous Highland - Donna Grant.  Good read.  First in a breathtaking new series, the bold and passionate Lucan MacLeod one of three brothers cursed by dark magic for eternity is driven by desire for the one woman he dare not let himself possess. He is magnificently strongeand dangerously seductive. One of the fiercest of his clan, Lucan MacLeod is a legend among warriors, inspiring fear in man and woman alike. For three hundred years, he has locked himself away from the world, hiding the vengeful god imprisoned in his soul. But then, a young lass caught in a raging storm awakens his deepest impulses ¦and darkest desires.

The heart of Christmas / Mary Balogh, Nicola Cornick, Courtney Milan.   Good short historical reads.

A kiss at midnight / Eloisa James.

The Lucifer code / by Brokaw, Charles.  Fast paced quick read. Adventure.  Good follow up to prior read.

Seduce Me - Robin Hart.  Good read, this was first in series and I read second one before but they are stand alones.
